Milkshake is the duo of Lisa Mathews (vocals) and Mikel Gehl (acoustic guitar), both indie rockers of the alternative band Love Riot. After becoming new parents (Lisa and Mikel each have toddlers), they found themselves thinking up songs to entertain their children. The resulting recordings feature music as tuneful and alive as that found on the Love Riot recordings, and indeed fans of the band will love many of the songs. Contemporary, fun, educational and heartwarming, the duo's debut recording Happy Songs is a potpourri of activity songs, upbeat inspirational rock songs and lullabies. Milkshake's second CD Bottle Of Sunshine, features 15 original tunes and three Milkshake videos you can play on your computer. Milkshake is currently appearing on Noggin TV’s “Jack’s Big Music Show” and will be part of JAMARAMA, a Noggin-sponsored children's music festival tour.
